Discordantly worthy of support at Gowran

It's known as a day for the people, so the Goffs Thyestes Chase (3.25) will be different behind closed doors at Gowran Park today. The usual faces are expected to be to the fore, as Willie Mullins bids for a unique hat-trick in the €100,000 feature. Mullins saddles a quintet led by top-weight Acapella Bourgeois, the mount of Paul Townend, while the unexposed Brahma Bull is another of interest, based on his second in a Grade Two at Navan in November. Last year's runner-up, Class Conti, is no back number either. Coko Beach leads Gordon Elliott's five-strong team, with Jack Kennedy aboard the lightly weighted six-year-old as he bids to break his maiden over fences in style, but faith in Discordantly (e/w) is set to be repaid in style.
