Find the full statementKILLING OF INNOCENT WOMEN IS NOT WARFIGHTING DISARM YOUR “ARMIES”The Volta Regional Peace Council (RPC) has condemned the shooting of two women by unidentified assailants on 14th May 2018 in their home at Alavanyo-Deme leading to the death of one of the women. The RPC is convinced that the phenomenon of reprisal killing of innocent people is not serving majority interest in the two communities. The Council believes the senseless killing of innocent human beings in the two communities cannot be considered as warfighting and calls on the perpetrators to desist from these cowardly acts. The Council is calling on leadership, including traditional authority in the two communities to disarm their “armies”.
