Disabled 4-year-old boy found face down in SoCal elementary school pool. Mother sues district

A disabled 4-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital for emergency treatment after he was found face down and unresponsive in an elementary school pool. Now his mother, Monica Leiva, is suing the Ontario-Montclair School District alleging that staff abandoned him by two pools, causing him to nearly drown to death. That is a catastrophic failure.”A representative for the district did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday. She acknowledged that she was supposed to remain with the boy but was in the classroom at the time of the incident, according to the report. After the boy received lifesaving emergency care, the district transferred him to a different school without the mother’s knowledge or consent, the complaint alleges.
