Organized by The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD), the “Directors Of The Year Awards” (DYA) is aimed at recognizing outstanding boards and directors, and promoting good corporate governance and director professionalism. Under the theme of “Vanguard in Challenging Times” this year, the Awards now invite nominations from the public for the 2020 awards which are categorized into three company categories (Listed Companies, Non-listed Companies, and Statutory/Non-profit-distributing Organizations), and three director categories (Executive Directors, Non-executive Directors, and Boards). One or more awards may be granted in any of the categories, but to uphold the high quality ofthe awards which is recognized across Hong Kong, no awards may be granted in a particular category if no candidate is deemed appropriate.
