Directions are expected from the DPP in murder probe of Aidan O’DriscollA DIRECTION is expected in the coming weeks on whether charges will be brought against any of the six people arrested as part of the Aidan O’Driscoll murder investigation. The 37-year-old father-of-two was gunned down in Blackpool on December 7, 2016, seconds after getting out of a vehicle in Blackpool. Six people were arrested in the months after the murder and files were sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions last October. The Astra was later found burnt out in a ravine in an isolated area between Nadd and Rylane. Another car used in the murder, a silver Nissan Almera, was in the general Blackpool area for a number of hours prior to the killing.
