Awami League President Sheikh Hasina and 46 other members of cabinet took oath on Monday, following her party's resounding victory in the 11th general election on December 30. Apart from the prime minister, there are 24 ministers, 19 state ministers, and three deputy ministers in the new cabinet. Among the 47 members of cabinet, 27 are new faces who were picked in a bid to make the cabinet more dynamic in its implementation of electoral pledges.
