The decision was taken at a virtual meeting on Sunday which was attended by Education Minister Dipu Moni. Meanwhile, she has also directed private universities to send the ministry their list of vacant posts for VC, pro-VC, and treasurer, by September 10. Currently, three public universities need VCs, and 25 need pro-VCs. As many as 19 private universities are yet to appoint VCs and 83 are in need of pro-VCs.
