But she said the meal descended into 'chaos' and she compared it to scenes from popular sitcom Fawlty Towers. The pensioner told Stoke-on-Trent Live : "My husband and I celebrated New Year's Eve with my two friends. We paid £64.95 each for the meal and £79.95 for a room and we ordered our food before we got there. But the meal was supposed to start at 8pm and we waited until 9pm for our mushroom and tarragon soup. The family were served the wrong food, received slow service and was even allegedly handed dirty cutlery at the restaurant in Quinton, Birmingham.
