A representative from the Prime Minister’s Office, hospital Director Brig Gen Mizanur Rahman and doctors from neurosurgery, paediatric surgery, paediatric and gynaecology departments visited the girl after she was brought to the hospital early yesterday. Bilkis said that they had conducted forensic tests of the girl and were assessing the infection level. Police arrested the main accused, Saiful Islam, from Dinajpur town around 7pm Monday, six days after the girl was recovered. The girl from Jomirhat of Parbatipur in Dinajpur went missing on Tuesday afternoon and was recovered from a nearby field in critical condition the next morning. Father of the survivor filed a GD with the police Tuesday and filed a case against the duo on Thursday.
