Saoirse McHugh, who ran in the 2019 European elections and the 2020 General Election, criticised immigration policies in the Government and the European Union. Speaking to Breakingnews.ie, Ms McHugh criticised the EU migration pact, and said she would have voted against it as it makes migration more dangerous in Europe. "I thought it was so cruel, it was just a further tightening and making migration into the EU more dangerous. Dignity and compassion should be the guiding values of any immigration system."
