The UAE, the main hub of the digital economy in the Arab world, aims to become a global centre of technological innovation. Chinese tech supremacy in the Arab world is particularly evident in Huawei’s central role in the expansion of ICT infrastructure. For the EU, digital transformation opens new avenues to promote economic development, stabilisation, and the empowerment of young people in the Arab world.
