Share:The Universal Service Fund (USF) approved 30 projects worth Rs18 billion for the IT sector of Pakistan with the aim of bringing the country closer to the Digital Pakistan initiative. If projects materialise, the potential benefits for the poor and those who are cordoned off in remote areas are immense. When compared to the international community, Pakistan lags far behind because we have not evolved with the world around us. In fact, even encouraging digital literacy is bound to improve job prospects for countless in Pakistan. In the end, it all boils down to how much the government is able to facilitate growth within the people and Pakistan as a whole.
