KUALA LUMPUR: Digi, Petronas Gas and Petronas Chemicals pushed the FBM KLCI deeper into the red at the close on Monday while the broader market continued to weaken from last week despite the rebound in crude oil prices. At 5pm, the KLCI was down 1.28 points or 0.08% to 1,651.71 and it was the only market in the red. US light crude oil rose 62 cents to US$43.65 and Brent added 51 cents to US$46.28. Among the oil and gas stocks, Petronas Gas fell 40 sen to RM21.50 and erased 1.34 points from the KLCI while Petronas Chemicals lost nine sen to RM6.50 and wied out 1.22 ppoints. Axiata shed five sen to RM5.27 and Telekom lost eight sen to RM6.70.However, Maxis jumped 13 sen to RM6.15.
