Diet Coke, Sprite and Fanta Recall Over Possible ‘Foreign Material’

Coca-Cola issued a recall for nearly 2,000 cases of Diet Coke, Sprite and Fanta Orange soda cans that were distributed in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida over the potential presence of "foreign material." The recall was initiated voluntarily by a Coca-Cola bottling facility in Mobile, Alabama on Nov. 6, according to a Food and Drug Administration filing. The recalled cases were all 12-packs of 12-ounce cans. The company said all potentially tainted products have been removed from the market and all recall activities are complete. In 2021, Coca-Cola recalled Minute Maid products in eight states due to the potential presence of metal bolts or washers.
