Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa played cagey with reports claiming that police officers raided his home and confiscated a campaign vehicle branded with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) colours. He was yet to receive any communication from the alleged raid but confirmed that he used a Constituency Development Fund (CDF) vehicle in his capacity as a government official. I will wait and see what they will tell me but I even use the CDF vehicle on a daily basis," he remarked. Reports about his Kimilili mansion raid emerged on Tuesday with the police stating that they had launched a manhunt for the lawmaker. Barasa was further accused of swapping GK plate numbers of the CDF vehicle.
