Picture by Sachin Patna, Sept. 23: Bihar is going to do what Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee had planned - no immersion of Durga idols on October 1 - before Calcutta High Court reversed it on Thursday. The Patna district administration has directed puja committees to immerse idols a day before Muharram (October 1). All committees have been told to immerse idols on September 30 - Vijaya Dashami day. The DM said that last year too, puja committees were asked to immerse idols on Vijaya Dashami with the consent of different puja committees. It will be interesting to see if anyone approaches the court in Bihar, too, against the order banning of immersion of Durga idols given that the BJP is a partner in the state government.
