We’ve looked at many ways to do “paid mods”, and the problems outweigh the benefits. Valve and Bethesda released paid mods for Skyrim on Steam way back in 2015, and it did not go very well. I have no philosophical objection to paid mods: people work hard on mods, and they should be able to have avenues towards monetizing that work that go beyond a tip jar.
