Dhaka Tribune reporter gets death threat from AL supporters

Nadim Hossain, Savar correspondent of the Dhaka Tribune, has received death threat from the supporters of a local Awami League leader after reporting irregularities at an event organised by said leader in Ashulia, on the outskirts of Dhaka. They issued a similar threat to news portal banglanews24.com’s Ashulia correspondent Sharifuzzaman Fahim. Ashulia police station OC Abdul Awal said both Nadim and Sharifuzzaman filed separate general diaries over the incident on Monday morning. Dhaka district Awami League President and former Dhamrai MP Benzir Ahmed was the chief guest at the event.
