Adam Schefter dropped some decidedly unwelcome news on New York Giants fans an Monday with the report that star nose tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade. The fact of the matter is that no one player will be able to fill the void that Dexter Lawrence would leave. Even if the Giants don’t trade Lawrence, Reader would certainly be worth bringing in to share the load with Lawrence. McDonald is a “plug and play” nose tackle, and he should continue to get better as he develops.
