WASHINGTON ― House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) announced on Thursday that he will temporarily step down from leading the panel’s investigation into Russian meddling in the U.S. election. The three men have voiced similar doubts about ties between Russia and the Trump administration. Conaway told the witnesses he was skeptical of the conclusion by 17 U.S. intelligence agencies that Russian President Vladimir Putin favored Trump.
