Officers from a state government agency were also at the scene to check for soil movement every three hours. Workers were seen clearing debris and inspecting the houses which cost RM4.2mil a unit and its surroundings. At around 3.50pm, a Penang Island City Council (MBPP) engineering department vehicle dropped several staff who went to inspect the area. A resident representative of another nearby condominium said they are currently taking several precautionary measures, adding a security guard will ring an alarm in case of an emergency. Another nearby resident Reuben J. Israel, 53, said he has been following the project “from the beginning” since five years ago.
