A devastated father has paid tribute to his 'big-hearted' son after he died from coronavirus just weeks before he was set to move in with his 'soul mate'. Matthew Pearson, 26, from Leeds, died at home on October 1 just a few days after he tested positive for Covid-19. His father Gary Pearson described how he was 'beyond devastated' that his son had passed away and the family do not know how Matthew contracted the virus. 'Matthew loved his family and he loved spending time all together which we did regularly.' Gary described how he 'loved' hearing about Hayley and Matthew's 'amazing trip to Thailand' and told how the couple were laughing 'constantly'.
