The gun, which was stolen from Umala Police Post, was recovered by Siaya DCI detectives posing as buyers in a covert operation that led to the arrest of one suspect. Also recovered was one magazine and 13 rounds of ammunition, one pair of Kenya Army trousers, a Kenya Police raincoat and one smoke camouflage jacket. Advertisement“The firearm was positively identified as the one that had earlier been stolen from Umala Police Post late 2019,” said the report. The incident happened hours after the suspect and his accomplice robbed the driver of a DHL truck and his two female passengers at gun-point.
