COLOMBO (News 1st); Bail was granted to two traders from Colombo, who were arrested on Sunday (19) for protesting opposite the Fort Railway Station. Two people, including the President of the United National Self-Employed Businessmen’s Association, Charles Pradeep were arrested on Sunday (19) afternoon for protesting in Colombo. They were arrested while conducting a protest opposite the Colombo Fort Railway Station against the directive to open liquor stores. Fort police arrested the duo for violating the provisions of the Quarantine Regulations. Charles alleged during a press conference on 17th September that the Government had taken action to open liquor stores at the behest of politicians.
