Brick kilns in Bandarban district are taking a toll on the environment of the hilly region. Brick makers are illegally cutting off hills to provide raw material for the kilns, and cutting down trees to provide fuel. Photos of the hills razed by illegal cutting were taken in Lama upazila’s Faitong area, while the brick kiln was in Choinga area Syed Zakir Hossain/Dhaka Tribune
