In the past few days Wildlife SOS has received and attended to multiple rescue calls for birds caught in manjha. The dangerous glass–coated manjha of flying kites can easily cut through the soft flesh of these birds and frequently the wings and limbs are badly injured. Co-founder of Wildlife SOS Kartick Satyanarayan said, “The Indian manjha is made from handmade cotton and can be used safely. We request Delhiites to refrain from using the Chinese manjha.
