Another exit waiting to happen is MAS Financial services, which has filed for an IPO Lok Capital’s focus and achievements on exits—the barometer of success for any fund, impact or commercial—is reflective of the domestic sector. “Most impact investors in India are early-stage and focus a lot on getting the business model right so that it can scale, absorb capital and return capital. “There is huge interest from overseas investors like large pension funds but most funds in India are small for their ticket sizes. “We are increasingly seeing that most funds are expanding their share of capital from domestic investors,” said Sinha of Global Impact Investing Network.
