The man pleaded guilty to four charges, including touching a child for a sexual purpose, as well as making, distributing and possessing child pornography. Police in Australia arrested the man, and he gave investigators a username that belonged to the Winnipeg man, Doe said. Out of all the members of the group, the Winnipeg man was sharing the "most severe material," the Australian told investigators. The Winnipeg-based Canadian Centre for Child Protection has said it receives 3,500 reports of child sexual abuse imagery a month from Canadians, and 70 per cent of the 44,000 images assessed in a recent report included sexual assaults against children that were recorded in homes.
