Residents have been left in despair after a play area was vandalised at a park in Bransholme. The vandalism took place in Pennine Park, off Pennine Way. It has also been reported that shards of broken glass were found scattered about the play area, prompting one visiting family to leave. The vandalism in the play area mirrors much of the recent antisocial behaviour displayed by 'gangs of feral youths' causing havoc in the neighbouring Orchard Park estate. It is understood Pennine Park has since been cleaned, with the broken swing seat being taken away to be repaired.
