She made this notice at the official opening of the Koforidua passport office on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Speaking in the same vein, Eastern Regional Minister, Eric Kwakye Darfour asked residents to follow the normal procedure and refrain from using middlemen to acquire a passport. As the whole passport office centers in Ghana are said to go digital, this is not different from that of the newly built office in Koforidua, with the Regional Minister noting that, the Koforidua Passport office is strictly an online processing centre. Applicants of ordinary passport are to receive their document within 21 days whilst those who applied for express get theirs in 9 days.
