Sumo LogicAt O’Reilly’s first AI Conference, Peter Norvig of Google pointed out that debugging in the era of machine data, big data, and AI is going to be as much about fixing the data as it is about fixing the software. I summed up Norvig’s comments in my round up story: “Data is more like the code than it is the asset being created. But instead of debugging, many presenters focused on how to design the data so that maximum meaning and use could be gained from it. Once you start debugging data and finding problems with it, it is natural to ask why isn’t this data better? “You need to have context around the data so that you can make better sense of the data,” said Kalyan Ramanathan, VP of Product Marketing at Sumo Logic.
