A Desert Rat's captivating photo album charting the iconic army unit's epic journey from the North African desert to Germany in the Second World War is being auctioned off. Two pages dedicated to Sgt Jenner's time in The Middle East in 1942. The album includes a heart-warming image of Sgt Jenner and his friends opening letters from their loved ones. Sgt Jenner was born in Bexleyheath, Kent, and was educated at the Boys Central School. Their exploits during the Siege of Tobruk were immortalised in the 1953 war film The Desert Rats starring Richard Burton.
