The Derry Club Championship provides excellent preparation for the inter-county season, says Derry GAA county chairman Stephen Barker. Barker explains that his county will use the full 11 weeks permitted to the club game to run out their football and hurling series ahead of the return of inter-county football in mid-October. "We will maximise the time available to us," he said.
