McInnes is frustrated by the SFA’s efforts in the fight against CovidDerek McInnes last night argued that the Scottish Football Association should be doing much more to help clubs in their battle to protect players from Covid-19. The Aberdeen manager said the governing body should tighten up procedures, provide more financial aid and introduce new measures, such as mandatory testing of players on international duty. Three of them — Ross McCrorie, Lewis Ferguson and Connor McLennan — are among 11 Scotland Under-21 internationals required to self-isolate since their trip to Greece last week. “I do think mandatory testing when players go away with their national teams should be there for the next three days,” McInnes said. “There should be testing and clubs should be compensated.
