Derailed train blocks State Highway 1Supplied The train derailed at a crossing in Clinton, Otago. A train has derailed in South Otago, blocking State Highway 1. The rear of the train derailed, a Fire Service spokesman said. A witness who saw the derailed train said there were two carriages upright on the railway line on the State Highway, and there looked to be six to eight carriages fallen on their side. The train is not believed to be a passenger service.
