BuzzSouthAfrica has gathered that a deal in which Deputy President C. Ramaphosa would retain his position as South Africa’s number 2 citizen is making the rounds in an ANC factional camp. Read Also: Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Presidential Bid Gets Wider SupportParty insiders disclosed that this move is simply an attempt to avoid a tough battle between the Zuma’s ex-spouse and Ramaphosa. The proposal to have Zuma’s deputy retain his position was first moved by the ANC in North West; which is one of Dlamini-Zuma’s most supportive area. But, it is understood that Ramaphosa enjoys support from ANC supporters in Limpopo and some part of Gauteng. Recently, the YCL, the SA Communist Party’s youth wing, gave the strongest indication that the communists want Deputy President C. Ramaphosa to succeed Zuma instead of his ex-spouse Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
