Depp's monthly spending blamed for woesJohnny Depp's former business managers are countersuing him, claiming his lavish lifestyle that costs more than US$2 million (NZ$2.74 million) a month caused his financial troubles and that he ignored their repeated warnings. The lawsuit said Depp paid more than $US75 million to buy and maintain 14 homes, including a French chateau and a chain of islands in the Bahamas. "Depp, and Depp alone, is fully responsible for any financial turmoil he finds himself in today," the lawsuit stated. Depp sued The Management Group on January 13 seeking more than US$25 million he contends was mismanaged. The countersuit seeks a judge's ruling that Depp is to blame for his financial troubles and US$560,000 in fees The Management Group said it is owed.
