PETALING JAYA: A Bangladeshi man, who was deported from Malaysia over Islamic State links, has gone missing en route to Dhaka. However, officials at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, claimed they have no knowledge that Golam had arrived, according to the Dhaka Tribune. The Dhaka Tribune said an official at the Bangladesh police headquarters, who requested anonymity, had confirmed that Golam was deported from Malaysia but could not say which agency was supposed to pick him up at the airport. The Dhaka Tribune, however, said two others deported from Malaysia were in Bangladeshi police custody since February. On their arrival at Shahjalal International Airport, the duo were followed by a team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit.
