Depeche Mode Going Where No Band Has Gone Before At The Hollywood Bowl

In its nearly 100-year history, the Hollywood Bowl amphitheater has stood as a musical mecca for legions of fans and performers along the broad spectrum of generation and genre. Though in somewhat of a historical oddity given its age and prestige, no band (not even, say, Phish, who recently performed 13-straight shows at Madison Square Garden) has ever played four consecutive nights at The Hollywood Bowl. But that will soon change after "the most popular electronic band in the world," Depeche Mode, sounds the final notes of its sold-out four-night rendezvous there on Wednesday, Oct. 18 as part of their sweeping 2017-18 Global Spirit Tour. "[We're] doing four nights because there was incredible demand for tickets," said Depeche Mode's manager, Jonathan Kessler. "The Hollywood Bowl is an incredible LA venue: the band loves playing it and we've essentially played everywhere in LA."
