DepEd data showed that in 2018 alone, there were more than 250,000 “Balik Aral” learners in elementary and secondary levels. School ReadinessMeanwhile, Education Secretary Leonor Briones said that DepEd’s preparation for the school opening starts months before the actual start of classes. DepEd determines school readiness through the assessment of data available using ideal ratios for each identified readiness variable as standards parameters.
