Jay Lingman is accused of shooting and murdering Denver Chance before putting his body in a chest freezer. A jury must decide whether an Auckland man shot Denver Chance for drugs and cash, or if he was acting in self-defence. But Lingman later entered the witness box and told jurors Chance turned up unannounced and angry. He said when he approached Chance to try and return the drugs and get his money back, Chance refused.
