Actor Dennis Quaid, of such recent fare as A Dog’s Journey and A Dog’s Purpose, announced his engagement to Laura Savoie, a 26-year-old University of Texas student, on Monday. After just four months of dating, Quaid, 65, popped the question while the couple were in Hawaii. “It happened on the very northernmost point of Oahu, at Turtle Bay,” Quaid shared with Extra just hours after the sunset proposal. He was also once briefly engaged to actress Lea Thompson, who quipped on Twitter regarding the news, “She was -10 when I was engaged to him.”She was -10 when I was engaged to him. — Lea Thompson (@LeaKThompson) October 21, 2019The four-decade age difference between Quaid and Savoie created quite a reaction on social media.
