Denmark has suspended the AstraZeneca vaccine after cases of blood clotting, despite the EU ruling that a death in Austria had not been caused by the jab. The EU's medicines watchdog yesterday announced that it had found no link between the AstraZeneca vaccine and the woman's death. EU regulators on January 30 approved the AstraZeneca vaccine, saying it was effective and safe to use. Adverse reactions seen in trials were short-lived for the most part and blood clotting issues were not reported. It's a humiliating U-turn for Brussels whose leaders had wildly claimed that the AstraZeneca vaccine was ineffective earlier this year.
