Bangladesh has recorded five more deaths from dengue fever over the past 24 hours, while another 668 people have been hospitalised. The latest fatalities bring the tally of deaths to 187 this year, while the total number of hospitalisations stands at 43,841. With Wednesday’s admissions, hospitalisations in September climbed to 13,365 -- the highest monthly figure in 2025. September has also recorded the highest number of dengue deaths this year, with 65 fatalities. At present, 2,016 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals across the country.
