New Delhi, Jul 4 (PTI) Over 90 challans have been issued by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation to various government institutions and private establishments after breeding of mosquitoes were reported on their premises, the civic body today said. Stepping up its campaign to combat the vector-borne diseases, the SDMC has slapped 25,184 legal notices and launched 1,617 prosecutions against violators. "It has been decided to intensify checking of mosquito- breeding at big establishments, institutions and offices. The public health cannot be overlooked hence, all possible steps will be taken to prevent and control dengue and malaria," the SDMC said. The number of dengue cases recorded till July 1 has touched 100.
