Congress spokesperson and Lok Sabha MP Ranjeet Ranjan said that BJP government's claims that demonetization has been imposed to overcome terrorism, fake currency and corruption, was "wrong". The Congress Party is not against banning of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes, but is against the "mismanagement" by the BJP-led NDA government, said Congress spokesperson and Lok Sabha MP Ranjeet Ranjan. Interacting with reporters after attending the fourth day of the Hornbill Festival at Kisama, 12 kms from Kohima, Ranjeet said the BJP government's claims that demonetization has been imposed to overcome terrorism, fake currency and corruption, was "wrong". She lamented that farmers were not getting money for seeds, sowing and harvesting. As the spokesperson of AICC, Ranjeet also called upon Congress workers in Nagaland to mobilise programmes and projects for development of the state.
