Mr Grant seems not to understand the fundamentals of democracy. While the UK does not have a written constitution, democracy is endemic in the very culture and make up of the country. Democracy starts with the people. Members of Parliament are the peoples’ appointees; the peoples’ servants, and servants do not order the boss. While democracy is a form of government controlled by laws, there is one thing over which the law has no control and that is democracy itself.
