Delta govt lauds Army on fight against insurgency Tribune Online

THE Acting Governor of Delta State, Deacon Burutu Kingsley Otuaro, has lauded the Nigeria Army for its unflinching effort in combating insurgency in the North East and internal crises in other parts of the country. Deacon Otuaro gave the commendation when he hosted the Chief Of Army Staff, Major Gen. Tukur Buratai, to a dinner party at his lounge which incidentally coincided with his birthday. He appealed to the Nigerian Army to ensure that the Chibok girls, which were taken hostage five years ago are found and reunited with their families. The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai, in his remarks, thanked Acting Governor Otuaro and the people of Delta State for receiving them as they pay their last respect to Gen David Ejoor who passed recently. “We want to appreciate the Delta State government for this kind gesture; the Nigerian Army will work within the confines of official responsibility to ensure total security for the State and total peace and needed security for the entire country.
