CLEAN AIR POLICY PACKAGE FOR EUThe European Union (EU), for instance, adopted a Clean Air Policy Package in 2013 which includes a Clean Air Programme for Europe and a proposal for directives to reduce emissions. The Clean Air programme includes measures to help cut air pollution, with a focus on improving air quality in cities, supporting research and innovation, and promoting international cooperation. AUSTRALIA'S CLEAN AIR PACTDown Under, Australia established a National Clean Air Agreement on December 15, 2015. The clean air agreement "seeks to ensure that the community continues to enjoy clean air and address the impacts on human health and the environment". Some of the key actions under the clean air agreement are strengthening ambient air quality reporting standards for particle (PM) pollution, taking steps to reduce air pollution from wood heaters among other measures.
