While the blame game over pollution in Delhi continues, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) today rapped the Arvind Kejriwal-led government for giving "arbitrary exemptions" to two-wheelers in the odd-even scheme. Slamming the Delhi government for not acting on its earlier orders on tackling air pollution, the NGT said the government wakes up only when there is an emergency. "Don't gift infected lungs to children," the NGT told the Kejriwal government even as it refused to modify its November 11 order. Following the NGT order on November 11, the Delhi government had scrapped its plan to implement the odd-even car rationing scheme from November 13 to November 17. HERE ARE THE UPDATES ON ALL THAT HAS HAPPENED TODAY:2:15 PM: NGT asks Delhi government to identify most polluted areas and sprinkle water; orders taking off 10-year-old diesel vehicles off the road1:10 PM: NGT to Delhi government: Don't gift infected lungs to children.
